This web site gives details of the descendents of John Long born in Long Melford, Suffolk, England about 1771.

His son John (born 1794) left Long Melford in 1820 with his family and moved to Abbots Hall Farm, Brent Eleigh. Sometime between 1841 and 1851 the family moved to Lavenham but Job Long (my 2x great grandfather) moved back to Abbots Hall Farm, Brent Eleigh around 1875. Job remained in Brent Eleigh for the rest of his life.
He is buried in Brent Eleigh churchyard with his wife Mary Ann (nee Bigg)
